The most important Greco-Roman archaeological site is only at a 15- minutes from Can Rucall. If you get near it, you will understand why the Greeks and the Romans decided to settle here.

Even if you don't visit the site, it is well worth strolling along the promenade in front of the Mediterranian sea and have a drink on one of the terraces of Hotel Empúries.

GOLA DEL FLUVIÀ

The Gola del Fluvià is one of the most magical spots in the Alt Empordà region.

The Fluvià River flows into the sea at Sant Pere Pescador, between the beaches of Can Comes and Can Martinet.. This natural area, known as the Gola del Fluvià, is where the river deposits sediments and plants it carries along. It’s not usually crowded with swimmers, making it a peaceful place to walk and enjoy the surroundings.

DALÍ THEATRE-MUSEUM

The Dalí Theatre-Museum, the largest surrealist object in the world, occupies the building of the former Municipal Theatre, a 19th-century construction that was partially destroyed at the end of the Spanish Civil War. On these ruins, Dalí decided to create his museum.

Cala Montgó is one of those beaches you always want to visit, and although it can be a bit crowded and has quite a few buildings on one side, its crystal-clear waters, golden sand, and gentle entry into the sea make it a favorite spot for many families to enjoy this privileged corner of the Costa Brava.

PORT LLIGAT

Portlligat is a small cove located in the north of the municipality of Cadaqués, in the Alt Empordà, within the Cap de Creus Natural Park.

The place is mainly famous for having been the residence of Salvador Dalí.

With its clear and calm waters, it offers a protected natural refuge, ideal for activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply enjoying the peace and charm of the place.
